How to Stop Sneezing with Natural Remedies and Get Instant Relief

Whether it’s an allergy, animal dander, smoke, mold, dust, wood dust, pollen or you’re suffering from a cold, sneezing continuously can leave your nose feeling sore and irritated. While many over-the-counter medications can help stop sneezing, few might have side effects such as drowsiness. The act of sneezing is a physiological process involving the movement of various muscles of the human body like the muscles of the vocal cord, the abdominal muscles and so on.

Home remedies, on the other hand, can help stop sneezing without making you feel even more uncomfortable.

1. Honey and Lemon

Add honey and lemon to your tea. Honey is a mild anti-bactericidal, while lemon will provide you with added vitamin C. Both of these will help reduce not only sneezing but also other symptoms of a cold or allergy.

2 Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea is considered as one of the best home remedies for sneezing caused by allergies. It has excellent antihistamine properties that can provide instant relief.

Add 1 tbsp of dried chamomile flowers to one cup of boiling water, continue boiling the tea for a few minutes. Add some honey to improve the flavour. Drink the tea two times each day to stop your sneezing.

3. Garlic

Garlic has the natural antibiotic and antiviral properties and it can easily fight off an upper respiratory infection. It can be used internally or externally to get relief from excessive sneezing caused by a common cold infection. Crush four to five garlic cloves to make a fine paste and then inhale its strong fragrance. This will help clear the nasal passages that cause sneezing and help you to breathe with ease.

4. Ginger

Ginger is one of the oldest and effective home remedies for the treatment of different viral and nasal problems including sneezing.

Take 1- 2 tbsp of ginger extract twice a day until the sneezing stops. Or you can cut a small piece of ginger root into thin slices, put them in a cup of water and boil it for some time. Add a little honey for taste and drink the tea before going to bed. This will prevent sneezing at night.

5. Black Pepper

Black pepper can be the solution to sneezing and a runny nose.
Mix one-half tbsp of pepper powder with lukewarm water. Drink it two to three times a day. Gargling with warm water mixed with pepper also helps get rid of cold viruses and germs.

6. Amla

Amla is a great source of antioxidants and has anti-bacterial properties, which help build our immunity. It could be taken in the form of a juice or eaten fresh. Having amla two to three times a day instantly improves one's sneezing condition.

7. Tulsi Leave

Tulsi leaves have powerful antibacterial properties that can fight off a range of dangerous infections. Boil a cup of water with 3-4 Tulsi leaves. Consume the mixture daily be bedtime time for 2-3 days and notice the difference.

8. Black Cardamom

Chew few seeds of black cardamom 2-3 times a day to get rid of sneezing. The oil of black cardamom is very effective as it helps normalise mucous flow through the respiratory tract. Simply massaging it helps improve the state of the individual.
